Happy New YearJanuary 5, 2011, 4:16 pm Sincere Congratulations to TCU. A fantastic victory on the first day of the year and great kick off, so to speak, for the year ahead. And Happy New Year to our MountainWest Sports Network viewers! I truly hope your year has stared off well. We are enjoying being back into the basketball season and getting that well underway. We focus our attention to the year ahead and the season at hand. It promises to encompass some amazing games. We will most certainly be bringing the Conference basketball tournament to you in HD and, now that all our football games are produced in HD, we will turn our attention to basketball games. Thank you for watching the network and thank you for being great viewers. We appreciate you so much. All the best, Kim |
Hello ThereOctober 27, 2010, 4:14 pm So, what a difference a year can make! So much happening! Some big changes upcoming next year. I want to thank both BYU and Utah for our relationship over these years. It's been a fun ride and a great experience. I wish them both well on their journeys in the future and thank them for their support over the years. We have enjoyed our relationship with both institutions. That said, we sincerely welcome Boise State and truly look forward to working with them. We are thrilled to welcome their fans to The Mtn. and excited to be able to tell their story on our 24/7 network dedicated to the Mountain West Conference. And, we wait with everyone else to see when we can officially welcome Fresno State and Nevada to the Conference. Thank you for being a viewer and/or reader. We do appreciate you coming to the site and watching the network. Here's to another great ending of football and the start of another great basketball season. |
Extracurricular ActivitiesFebruary 10, 2010, 4:12 pm Knee-deep in basketball season and our Conference never fails to entertain and play hard! There have been some great games this season already and I'm looking forward to more in the second half of Conference play. The 2010 MWC tournament is getting closer and closer and there will no doubt be some phenomenal basketball coming our way. The Mtn. is always looking for ways to become more involved with the teams and member institutions beyond what we bring to you over the air. We had a wonderful week of being involved in San Diego State's "Black Out" at their men's basketball game on Saturday, January 23. The Mtn. was there and handed out thousands of t-shirts to fans as they entered Viejas Arena. It's a lot of fun for us to engage with students, faculty and fans in this way, and we did it again on Tuesday, January 26 at the Air Force/UNLV game at Thomas & Mack in Las Vegas. Thank you to both institutions for your invitation to participate in these activities. The network will continue looking for these kinds of opportunities at all MWC institutions. Thanks also to you, the fans, for making it such a successful event in both cases. We truly appreciate your support. The Mtn. looks forward to bringing you a lot more basketball as we lead into our Conference tournament coverage, which will be available in HD.... DIRECTV has already committed to carry our full roster of Conference tournament games and we expect to be able to update you about carriage from our cable affiliates in the near future. Check www.themtn.tv for updates. Enjoy the games and thanks for watching The Mtn.! Kim Carver |
