  • M. Tennis. Former Aztec Alex Waske Competes In French Open Doubles
    Former San Diego State All-American and three-time letterwinner Alex Waske participated in the opening round of the French Open on May 31 in Paris, France. In what could be Waske's final French Open, he and partner Michael Kohlmann won the first set 6-3, but then dropped a close 7-6 (5) decision before suffering a 6-4 setback in the deciding third set.

  • W. Volleyball. Westman's Adventues In Costa Rica
    UNLV junior to-be Madeline Westman will spend six weeks in a study abroad program from the middle of May through June and blog her adventures for UNLVRebels.com. Westman, who is no stranger to blogging after writing about the volleyball team's 2011 campaign, will spend her time in Heredia, Costa Rica taking two Spanish classes.

  • Baseball. Three MW Baseball Players Tabbed Louisville Slugger All-Americans
    New Mexico teammates and MW Co-Players of the Year DJ Peterson and Mitchell Garver were joined by TCU's Preston Morrison in receiving recognition as Louisville Slugger All-Americans, it was announced today.

  • Track. O'Brien Named Capital One Academic All-District Thursday
    TCU senior Jack O'Brien was named first team Capital One Academic All-District Thursday afternoon as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

  • Baseball. TCU Opens NCAA Regional Play Friday
    The two-seeded TCU Horned Frogs are set to open play at the NCAA College Station Regional Friday afternoon against the third-seeded Ole Miss Rebels. First pitch on the 2012 postseason is set for 12:35 p.m. All games will be live on ESPN3.

  • Track. Rams add Junior College transfer to fall lineup
    The Colorado State track and field program announced the addition of Ashley Reid to its fall roster Thursday.

  • W. Basketball. Houston Area Standout Set To Join Horned Frogs
    TCU women's basketball head coach Jeff Mittie announced Thursday afternoon the signing of Houston native Caitlin Diaz to the incoming freshman class for the 2012-13 season.

  • Track. Waldron Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Second Team
    University of New Mexico track and field and cross country athlete Sarah Waldron was selected to the 2011-12 CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Women's Track & Field/Cross Country second team.

    University of New Mexico track and field and cross country athlete Sarah Waldron was selected to the 2011-12 CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Women's Track & Field/Cross Country second team.

  • Baseball. Morrison Tabbed Louisville Slugger All-American
    TCU baseball freshman right-hander Preston Morrison has been named a third-team All-American by Louisville Slugger. It's the third straight season the Horned Frogs have produced an All-American pitcher.

  • Cross Country. Four MW Student-Athletes Named to Academic All-District Track & Field and Cross Country Teams
    Four Mountain West student-athletes were named to the 2011-12 Capital One All-District Track & Field and Cross first and second teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). TCU's Jack O'Brien represented the MW on the men's side, while Air Force's Paige Blackburn and Kimber Shealy and New Mexico's Sarah Waldron received honors on the women's side.

  • Track. Duo Named to Academic All-District Team
    Air Force seniors Paige Blackburn and Kimber Shealy were named to the 2011-12 Capital One Academic All-District VII Team for track and field and cross country, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday, May 31.

  • M. Golf. Eight MW Men's Golfers Named to PING All-Region Teams
    Eight Mountain West men's golfers are among the individuals named to the 2012 Division I PING All-Region Teams as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The league's eight All-Region selections are the second-most since the award's inception in 2007-08, when the Mountain West had 10 student-athletes recognized.
