CENTENNIAL,
Colo. - The Mtn. – MountainWest Sports Network in
conjunction with the Mountain West Conference has announced its football
telecast schedule for 2011. The slate once again includes 30
games featuring Mountain West Conference institutions over a period of
13 weekends.
All 30 games telecast by The
Mtn. will be produced and available in
high-definition.
Mountain West Conference football
kicks off on The Mtn. with a tripleheader on Saturday, Sept. 3 beginning
with Colorado State and New Mexico opening Conference play in
Albuquerque at 12 p.m. MT, followed by South Dakota at Air Force and Cal
Poly visiting San Diego State.
Other non-conference
match-ups include Northern Colorado at Colorado State, Texas State at
Wyoming, Washington State at San Diego State, Louisiana-Monroe at TCU,
Hawaii at UNLV, Tennessee State at Air Force, Southern Utah at UNLV, San
Jose State at Colorado State and New Mexico State at New
Mexico.
Conference play resumes on The Mtn. Saturday,
Oct. 15 when Colorado State welcomes Boise State to Fort Collins and
UNLV travels to Laramie to take on Wyoming.
The Mtn.
will also be the television home for traditional Mountain West
Conference rivalry games such as Air Force at Colorado State on Oct. 26
and the Border War, featuring Wyoming at Colorado State, on Dec.
3.
All games begin no earlier than 12 p.m. MT with
late games kicking off no later than 8 p.m. MT. The schedule
incorporates exclusive Saturday telecasts with five (5) tripleheaders
and seven (7) doubleheaders on select weekends, designed to maximize
exposure for Mountain West Conference institutions.
The Mtn. continues to provide the most in-depth
coverage of the Mountain West Conference available anywhere by
supplementing live game telecasts with pre, post, and halftime studio
shows dedicated to the coverage of MWC football.
Every
week, Mountain West Football Saturday airs live at 11 a.m. MT,
previewing the day’s upcoming action along with in-depth features and
stories. Pre and postgame shows are part of most telecasts
with a live halftime show part of all 30
games.
Mountain Sports Report airs
Tuesday-Friday nights at 5:30 p.m. MT and 10 p.m. MT and Saturdays at 10
p.m. MT (subject to change), bringing viewers all the results and
highlights from across the Conference.
