Felix is the first men's student-athlete at the MW Championships to win both the decathlon and the javelin. Wyoming's Henry Ferreira was the runner-up with a mark of 203'-6" (62.04m), while Tim Urista of Air Force placed third with a throw of 199'-9" (60.89m).

The Horned Frogs claimed their first 4x100 title since 2009, after winning the event in each of their first four seasons in the Mountain West.

  • TCU won the men's 4x100 relay for the seventh-straight year, winning the event every year since joining the Mountain West. With a mark of 39.69, the relay tied for the fourth-fastest time in MW championship history, matching the Horned Frogs' 2010 MW championship relay time.

  • In the women's 1,500-meter race, the Cadet Stadium record was shattered, with the top six finishers all surpassing the previous best mark of 4:46.15, set by BYU's Michaela Mannova in 2002. Air Force led the way with two of the top three finishers, including junior Morgan Mosby, the first-time champion who crossed the line in a time of 4:33.93. Previously, the Falcons' best finish in the 1,500 was fourth in 2002 and 2005. Colorado State sophomore Holly Keeper took second place with a time of 4:37.48, while Air Force sophomore Melissa Fuerst clocked a time of 4:37.77 to place third. Also finishing ahead of the previous stadium record were Boise State's Rici Morill (4:38.39), Colorado State's Whitney Henderson (4:39.69) and TCU's Patricia Terry (4:41.31).

  • New Mexico sophomore Sam Evans (3:56.25) edged out Colorado State sophomore Alex Balsinger (3:56.65) by fourth-tenths of a second to earn New Mexico's third-ever MW league title in the men's 1,500-meters. It marked the second time in MW championship history that the top two finishers were sophomores, as the only other time that happened was in 2003.

  • In the women's 100-meter hurdles, junior Larissa Matthews of TCU captured her second individual title in three years, clocking a time of 13.67. New Mexico's Precious Selmon, the 2011 champion, placed second with a mark of 13.89, while UNLV's Erin Morris placed third with a time of 14.00.

  • Colorado State sophomore Trevor Brown set an MW meet record, winning the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 13.80, which also tied for the second-fastest time in Conference history. Brown ran the fastest time in MW history last spring (13.75). This is Brown's first title, as he finished second in 2011, as well as the Rams' first title in the men's 110-meter hurdles. Boise State's Justin Malnes was the runner-up with a time of 14.13, while Kelby Dias of Colorado State clocked a time of 14.16 to place third.

  • TCU junior Cameron Parker repeated as the MW champion in the triple jump with a mark of 52'-4.50" (15.96m). His jump was the second-best mark in the MW this season and a personal best in 2012 by 3'-1.25". He is the fourth student-athlete in Mountain West history to repeat as champion in the men's triple jump and the second TCU athlete to accomplish the feat. • Boise State senior Manoah Wesson crossed the finish line in the men's 400-meter run with a time of 47.56 seconds, winning by just .05 seconds over Air Force senior Manny Smith (47.61). Wesson's time was the fastest in the Conference this season and a personal best in 2012. It was the smallest margin of victory in MW conference championship meet history since 2003 when BYU's Matt Nielsen edged out teammate David Chesser by .09 seconds.

  • TCU freshman Lorraine Ugen earned her first outdoor MW title in the women's 100-meter dash, recording a time of 11.35. Her performance, the top in the Mountain West this season, is the third-best in Mountain West championship history, as the Horned Frogs own the top four marks. Teammate Chaniqua Corinealdi took second place in the event with a time of 11.43, while UNLV's Emily Blok clocked a time of 11.59 to place third.

  • In the men's 800-meters, Air Force sophomore Alex Lindsay (1:52.12) beat out teammate Nick White (1:52.49) by .37 to take the title. Lindsay is AFA's third champion and the first since Kevin Hawkins won back-to-back titles in 2007 and 2008. It also marks just the second time in which Air Force had two finishers in the top five, which last happened in 2006.

  • UNLV senior Christine Lowe won the women's 400-meter hurdles in a time of 58.29 to give the Lady Rebels their first championship in the event since 2002. In 2008, Jordan Pitts of TCU accomplished this feat. Brown's time of 51.08 was the fastest in the Mountain West and currently ranks in the top 25 on the Division I performance list this season. Air Force's Bryce Bergman was the runner-up with a time of 51.61, while Lavon Collins of TCU placed third (52.66).

  • TCU junior Chaniqua Corinealdi claimed her first outdoor title in the women's 200-meter dash, after placing third in the last two seasons, finishing with a mark of 24.01. • In the men's 200-meter dash, New Mexico freshman Beejay Lee ran 21.04 to snap TCU's streak of six straight champions in the event. New Mexico's first champion in the 200-meters, Lee is also just the second freshman in MW history to win the 200-meters and first since Air Force's Travis Picou won the title in 2005. TCU claimed the second, third and fourth-place spots as the Horned Frogs had at least a runner-up finish in the event for a seventh-straight season.

  • Air Force junior Cale Simmons set an MW championship record in the men's pole vault, clearing a height of 18'-1.75" (5.53m) to take home the individual title. Simmons' mark, which was also the second-highest cleared in MW history, currently ranks as the third-best on the Division I performance list. Walmsley finished more than seven seconds ahead of runner-up senior Greg Miller from Wyoming (14:49.68), making it the fourth-largest margin of victory at the MW championships in the men's 5,000-meters.

  • In the women's triple jump, San Diego State sophomore Shanieka Thomas, the 2011 runner-up, captured her first MW title with a mark of 43'-11.25" (13.39m). His mark was the second-best in the MW this season and he is the only MW athlete in the men's shot put to record a mark of over 58 feet this season.

  • UNLV won the women's 4x400 relay with a time of 3:38.04, capturing its first MW title in the event since 2002 and its third all-time. The Lady Rebels' mark in the event is the second-fastest in the conference this season.
