The Mtn. Announces 2010-11 Men's Telecast Schedule

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – The Mtn. – MountainWest Sports Network will air 65 live men’s basketball games (60 regular season plus five from the 2011 Phillips 66 MWC Basketball Championships) as part of its 2010-11 MWC television package.

The men’s lineup features traditional rivalries, including New Mexico/New Mexico State, Air Force/Colorado State, BYU/Utah and Colorado State/Wyoming. The slate also includes non-conference match-ups from the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge, which annually features head-to-head competition between nine MWC and nine MVC teams, with The Mtn. televising every MWC home game from the Challenge in December.

Nearly one-half (28 of 60) regular season games will be aired on Saturdays, maximizing exposure for the Mountain West Conference (MWC) member institutions.

The Mtn. surrounds its live game telecasts with comprehensive pre, post, and halftime studio shows dedicated to the coverage of MWC basketball. Ram Pre-Game Live will lead off most telecasts with in-depth features and previews of the day’s upcoming action, and will also air before subsequent games during the day (time permitting). Ram Halftime Live airs every game, providing highlights and score updates from around the Conference and NCAA while recapping the game in progress. Ram Post Game Live revisits the scores and highlights from the prior game as well as throughout college basketball and follows most live game telecasts.

The Mtn. will televise live the men’s opening round game and the four quarterfinals match-ups at the 2011 Phillips 66 MWC Basketball Championship in March. Two of the quarterfinals games will be simulcast by CBS College Sports Network. 2011 men’s tournament coverage airs Wednesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 10 from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev. and will be available in HD.
