Two Mountain West teams are currently ranked in both the
USA Today/Coaches’ andAssociated Press
polls. Boise State is the MW’s highest-ranked squad, entering its thirdstraight week at No. 4 in the
AP rankings and dropping one position to No. 5 in theCoaches’ poll. TCU enters Week 5 at No. 20 in both sets of rankings for the second
consecutive week. Air Force received one vote in the Coaches’ Top-25.
At least two Mountain West teams have been ranked in the
USA Today/Coaches’ Top 25poll for 53 consecutive weeks, dating back to Sept. 2, 2008. The MW joins the Big 12,
Big Ten and SEC as the only four conferences that have had at least two teams ranked
for 53 consecutive weeks.
The Mountain West has had at least one team in the Top-10 of the
USA Today/Coaches’rankings for 33 consecutive weeks, dating back to Sept. 27, 2009. The MW is one of
four leagues (Big 12, Big Ten, SEC) with at least one team ranked in the Top-10 of the
Coaches’ poll during that span.
Boise State has been ranked in the top-10 of both polls for 35 consecutive weeks, dating
back to Sept. 13, 2009 for the nation’s current longest streak.
