The Mtn. To Host MW Basketball Media Days

CENTENNIAL, Colo. - The Mtn. – MountainWest Sports Network will host Mountain West Conference Basketball Media Days beginning Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Comcast Media Center, located in suburban Denver, Colo.  This marks the fourth time the network has hosted Basketball Media Days, the first being in 2007.
All eight coaches from the respective men’s and women’s programs from across the Conference will be in attendance.  The women’s events take place Tuesday, Oct. 11 and media day for the men’s programs follows on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
Video from interviews with each of the eight respective coaches will be available at beginning at approximately 10 a.m. MT each day.  Behind-the-scenes video, blogs and video blogs will also be available at
In addition to web content, The Mtn. will produce and air the 2011 MW Women’s Basketball Media Day Show at 9 p.m. MT on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and replay it Oct. 12 at 12 a.m., 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. MT.  The 2011 MW Men’s Basketball Media Day Show airs at 9 p.m. MT on Wednesday, Oct. 12 with replays at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. MT on Thursday, Oct. 13.  Each show will be one-hour in length.
The network airs several new episodes of A Conversation With… in 2011-12 featuring men’s and women’s head basketball coaches that will air during the 2011-12 season.  The schedule includes:

2011-12 basketball season preview shows begin Saturday, Oct. 22.  Hosted by network anchors Marius Payton and Bill Doleman with expert analysis provided by Mike Evans, Marty Fletcher, Fred Langley and Andrea Lloyd, each 30-minute preview combines the men’s and women’s teams and features interviews with coaches and student-athletes and an in-depth look at each team’s schedule and outlook for the season.

Full Court Press returns Thursdays at 8 p.m. MT beginning December 15.  The Mtn. introduces a new weekly show, Mountain West Women’s Basketball Weekly, airing Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. MT, also starting December 15.
