FORT WORTH, Texas -- When it comes to injuries for Wyoming, it appears it is one step forward and two steps back.

After getting Adam Waddell back into game shape on Saturday, the Cowboys will be without two key veterans Wednesday night while junior Afam Muojeke appears to be out for the season.

Multiple sources close to the situation confirmed late Tuesday night that senior forward Djibril Thiam (turf toe) and junior point guard JayDee Luster (hip pointer) have not made the trip here for the game against TCU.

They also said junior Afam Muojeke is out for the season after re-injuring the knee that forced him to miss the majority of Mountain West Conference play last season.

Thiam has been battling turf toe for about a week.

The Pokes’ lone scholarship senior had started 13 of 16 games this season and was averaging 11.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Luster, who was injured this week in practice, did not make the trip, either.

He has started nine consecutive games and is averaging 6.7 points and 3.4 assists per game.

Muojeke didn’t play against New Mexico on Saturday and the 2008-09 MWC Freshman of the Year is now expected to be out for the season. Sources indicated that Muojeke will likely undergo surgery next week.

Muojeke suffered a career-ending injury, a ruptured patellar tendon, less than a year ago in a game at BYU and sources indicated he re-injured that same knee.
