Feb. 16th, 2011

SALT LAKE CITY -- Three Utah players scored 19 or more points and the reeling Utes pulled away from Wyoming in the final minutes for an 80-70 victory Wednesday night.

Chris Kupets scored 20 points while Josh Watkins and Will Clyburn had 19 each for Utah (11-15, 4-8 Mountain West), which snapped a five-game losing streak.

Desmar Jackson had 17 points for Wyoming (9-17, 2-10), which started the game with only eight active players and finished with five after two fouled out and another was injured in the game. Amath M'Baye added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Cowboys pulled within 68-65 with 3:40 remaining on a Francisco Cruz 3-pointer. But Utah responded with a 12-5 run -- including a three-point play by Kupets with 1:20 left that made it 75-66 -- to close it out.

Utes 7-foot-3 center David Foster had a career high 13 rebounds and blocked three shots.
