Ohio University Hires TCU Coach Jim Christian
April 1, 2012
TCU head coach Jim Christian will replace John Groce at Ohio University.
According to sources, Christian accepted the job on Sunday and will be introduced at Ohio on Tuesday. Christian has gone 56-73 in four seasons at the helm, but had success in his six years at Kent State.
Christian was 138-58 and went to a pair of NCAA tournaments in his time with the Golden Flashes.
This was the right move for Christian -- as TCU will go into the Big 12 next season. Christian, per a sources, will also make comparable money. He was making about $600,000 per season at TCU. Christian's wife also went to Ohio U.
