SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah guard Marshall Henderson is leaving the team. He is the fourth player to do so in the last two weeks.

Henderson released a statement through the school Wednesday, saying he wants to be closer to home in Texas, where he was a high school star before joining the Utes last season as a freshman. Henderson also says he didn't feel coach Jim Boylen's strict rules and restrictions fit with his "individualism."

Henderson was Utah's second-leading scorer at 11.8 points per game and made 65 of 194 3-pointers while starting in 30 of the Utes' 31 games.

Utah went 14-17 this season, one year after tying for the Mountain West Conference regular season title.

Boylen said in a statement that all five players who left the team had different reasons.
