MWC Baseball Tournament Coverage Starts May 25

The Mtn. opens its live game coverage the 2010 Conoco Mountain West Conference Baseball Championship from Tony Gwynn Stadium on the campus of San Diego State beginning Tuesday, May 25.

Six Mountain West Conference teams participate in a double-elimination format, with seeding determined by regular season results from intra-conference games.

The Mtn. could air an 11th game from the tournament should a second championship game be necessary on Saturday, May 29. Game time would be 2 p.m. MT, preceded by Pre-Game Live at 1:30 p.m. MT.

All games, with exception of Game 9 on Friday, May 28 and the potential Game 11 on Saturday, May 29, will be simulcast by CBS College Sports Network.

The team of James Bates, Todd Christensen and former Colorado Rockies pitcher Roger Bailey will call every inning of the championship. Hosts Marius Payton and Bill Doleman along with analyst and former pitcher for the Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies, Mark Knudson, will provide studio support for the games throughout the week.

A one-hour 2010 Conoco Mountain West Conference Baseball Championship preview edition of Pre-Game Live precedes the Game 1 telecast at 3 p.m. MT on May 25. Post Game Live follows every game, time permitting.
