MWC Presidents Elect to Not Expand Conference

TwitterIn an announcement made live on The Mtn. today, Craig Thompson, Commissioner of the Mountain West Conference, announced that there would be no expansion at this time.
"At this time, they (the presidents) didn't vote," said Thompson. "They opted not to expand."
Despite today's announcement, the Conference didn't close the door on the potential of expansion in the near future - but it wasn't going to happen today.
Thompson stated that he was pleased with the current state of the Mountain West Conference and would see what continues to develop across the college conference landscape.
