2012 Baseball Championship Begins May 24

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – The Mtn. – MountainWest Sports Network begins live coverage from Las Vegas, Nev. of every game of the 2012 Mountain West Baseball Championship from Earl E. Wilson Baseball Stadium at Roger Barnson Field on the campus of UNLV beginning Thursday, May 24.

Six games in total will air Thursday through Saturday with the potential for a seventh on Sunday, May 27 at 2 p.m. MT should a second championship game become necessary.  A one-hour tournament preview edition of Ram Trucks Pregame Live leads off Thursday’s coverage starting at 3 p.m. MT. 

Four Mountain West teams participate in a double-elimination format with seeding determined by regular season results from intra-conference games.

The Mtn.’s production of both games on Saturday, May 26 will be simulcast by CBS Sports Network.  The Mtn. is available nationally[1] on DIRECTV and on cable systems in 28 states across the country. For more information, visit The Mtn. online at http://www.themtn.tv/pages/getthemtn.

The team of Bill Doleman (play-by-play) Roger Bailey (analyst) will call every inning of the tournament from Las Vegas.  Host Marius Payton along with analyst Mark Knudson will be on-hand at The Mtn. studio in Denver, Colo. for presentations Ram Trucks Pregame Live and Ram Trucks Postgame Live throughout the tournament.  Mountain Sports Report, presented by Dodge airs live following completion of the final game of the day.
