MW Announces 2012 Men's Tennis Bracket

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Mountain West regular-season champion and 31st-ranked Boise State (24-6 overall) enters the 2012 Mountain West Men's Tennis Championship as the top seed after posting a perfect 5-0 mark in Conference play this season. The MW Championship will be held, April 27-29, at the Aztec Tennis Center on the campus of San Diego State in San Diego, Calif. Quarterfinal action begins Friday, April 27, with the semifinals on Saturday, April 28 and the championship on Sunday, April 29, at 10 a.m. PT.

No. 61 San Diego State (14-6 overall, 4-1 Mountain West) earned the No. 2 seed, while 67th-ranked New Mexico (17-7, 3-2) is the No. 3 seed. TCU (8-14, 2-3) captured the No. 4 seed, while UNLV (7-15, 1-4) secured the No. 5 seed. Air Force (10-12, 0-5) rounds out the bracket as the No. 6 seed.

Action at the 2012 Mountain West Men's Tennis Championship gets underway Friday, April 27, with a pair of 10 a.m. PT matches featuring No. 4 TCU vs. No. 5 UNLV and No. 3 New Mexico vs. No. 6 Air Force. The top-seeded Broncos received a quarterfinal bye and will await the winner of the TCU/UNLV match, while the second-seeded Aztecs also received a bye and will square off with the New Mexico/Air Force winner. Both semifinal contests will be played at 10 a.m. PT on Saturday, April 28, with the championship match set for 10 a.m. PT on Sunday, April 29.
