SOC: Lobos End Season at UCLA in NCAA College Cup 
Nov. 12, 2011LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The University of New Mexico women's soccer team fell to No. 2 UCLA, 1-0 at Drake Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday night. The loss ended the Lobos season as they made their second consecutive appearance in the postseason. New Mexico finished with a record of 12-5-4.
Early in the first half the Lobos looked to score as senior Zaneta Wyne shot a ball just high of the goal. In the first half New Mexico
Senior Jennifer Williams had a dangerous breakaway 11 minutes into the match, but the Bruins keeper managed to save the attack from finding the back of the net. The Lobos prevented UCLA from scoring 31 minutes into the first half, blocking three shots in under a minute.
In the first half, New Mexico tallied two shots, while UCLA was credited with six.
UCLA came out of the halftime strong, launching four shots in the first eight minutes. At 64:54 the Bruins scored as a shot rebounded in the box and was collected by Kylie McCarthy.
The Bruins outshot New Mexico 16-3 in the match. Two of the Lobos shots came on goal. New Mexico's goalkeeper Kelli Cornell was credited with four saves.
