COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - TCU senior Bryan Holaday and San Diego State junior Addison Reed have been named Mountain West Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. This is the fourth career weekly honor for both Holaday and Reed.

Holaday turned in an 11-for-21 (.524) effort at the plate last week as the Horned Frogs posted a 4-1 record. He recorded multi-hit outings in four of the five games, finishing the week with nine runs batted in, eight runs scored, five doubles, four home runs and two walks overall. In Tuesday's 5-4, 10-inning victory over Baylor, the Dallas, Texas, native went 3-for-5 with two doubles and one RBI. He followed that performance on Wednesday with a 2-for-2 effort against Baylor, homering once to contribute one run scored and one RBI in the contest. In the Frogs' three-game road sweep of Mountain West opponent Utah, Holaday combined for six hits in 14 at-bats. In Friday's 11-6 victory, he kicked off the series with a 3-for-5 night at the plate, registering his first career multi-homer outing with four RBI, three runs scored, two homers and one double. In an 11-4 win on Saturday, Holaday went 1-for-5 with two runs scored, one RBI, one double and one walk. He closed out the series in Sunday's 8-2 triumph with a 2-for-4 day at the plate, scoring twice while driving in two more runs with one double, one home run and one walk. Nine of Holaday's 11 hits on the week went for extra bases, as he posted a 1.333 slugging percentage and .583 on-base percentage. Defensively, Holaday recorded 37 putouts without an error from his catcher's position.

Reed tossed eight shutout innings in San Diego State's 11-0 win over New Mexico last Friday. It marked the first time the Lobos had been held scoreless since April 17, 2009. The Rancho Cucamongo, Calif., product surrendered just four hits (.182) and one walk to a New Mexico squad that entered Friday's contest with a .352 team batting average. Reed struck out nine batters and did not allow a UNM runner past second base, while extending his current streak of scoreless innings to 20.
